Our commitment
We strive to conform our websites and digital products to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a range of visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive abilities, and more usable for everyone.
Measures we take
To support accessibility, Halogen Systems:
- Builds on a modern, semantic HTML foundation (Next.js + React) with structured headings, landmarks, and ARIA where appropriate.
- Provides text alternatives (alt text) for non-decorative images and meaningful link text.
- Designs for sufficient color contrast and supports text resizing without loss of content or functionality.
- Ensures interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard.
- Tests on assistive technologies including screen readers where feasible.
- Considers accessibility throughout design, development, and content review.
- Provides downloadable documents (PDFs) in tagged, accessible formats where feasible.
Conformance status
We consider our websites to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Known limitations include:
- Older PDFs — some historical white papers and brochures may not be fully tagged for accessibility. We are progressively replacing or remediating these documents. If you need an accessible version of any PDF, contact us and we will provide one promptly.
- Third-party content — embedded forms, maps, and analytics from third-party providers (such as HubSpot, Google, and Microsoft) may not fully conform to WCAG. We work with our providers to track and improve these.
- Live customer portals — the Where's My Stuff order-tracking portal, sales rep portal, and training portal are under active development. Accessibility improvements are ongoing.
