Product warranty (12 months)
Halogen Systems warrants that our products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for twelve (12) months from delivery or commissioning (whichever is later), when used in accordance with the operating and maintenance instructions in our product manuals.
For most instruments — including the MP5, MP-TOTAL, MP-HOT, MP-ORP, D20 controller, and MKIT — this means that if the equipment fails due to a manufacturing defect during the warranty period and has been operated as documented, we will repair it, replace it, or refund the purchase price, at our option.
Service warranty (90 days)
Services we perform — such as on-site installation support, factory commissioning, or repairs — are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship for ninety (90) days from completion of the service. Parts we provide as part of a service may be new or refurbished and are warranted to function as new.
What's not covered
The warranty does not cover damage, malfunction, or non-conformance resulting from:
- Use outside the published operating specifications.
- Modifications, alterations, or repairs not authorized in writing by Halogen Systems.
- Improper installation, handling, accident, neglect, or power surge.
- Use of replacement parts or accessories not supplied by Halogen Systems.
- Damage from acts of war, terrorism, or nature.
- Normal wear of consumable wear parts (electrodes, polishing pad, O-rings, retainer screws). Wear parts are sold and shipped against a separate, transactional warranty for manufacturing defects only at the time of delivery.
How to file a warranty claim
- Contact support at info@halogensys.com or +1 (775) 832-0495 within the warranty period. Include the unit serial number, purchase order or SO number, and a description of the issue.
- We will troubleshoot remotely and, if a return is needed, issue a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number.
- Ship the unit back per the RMA instructions. Replacement units (where applicable) will be linked to the RMA in our order system.
- Track the replacement shipment at halogensys.com/where-is-my-stuff.
Sole remedy under warranty is repair, replacement, credit, or refund of the purchase price, at our option.
Returns and order cancellation (30 days)
You may return goods within 30 days of delivery in the same condition as received, subject to fair charges for handling, inspection, restocking, freight, and invoicing. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Custom-configured products, opened wear-part kits, and consumables are not returnable except under the warranty process above.
To start a return, email info@halogensys.com with your PO or SO number and the items you wish to return. We will provide an RMA and return instructions.
Limitations
All other guarantees, warranties, conditions, and representations — express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Halogen Systems' total liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Sale.
Wire transfer fraud notice
If you ever receive instructions to change bank or mailing details for payment to Halogen Systems, verify the change verbally by calling +1-775-832-0495 and speaking with our Credit Manager before sending any funds. We will never demand immediate payment under new instructions without allowing a 10-day grace period for verification. See section 18 of our Terms of Sale.
