Sensus FlexNet
AMI Integration
Add continuous water quality monitoring to your existing Sensus AMI network. Chlorine, pH, conductivity, and temperature data travels alongside meter reads — no new infrastructure required.
The Halogen Interface Module connects directly to Sensus Smart Gateways, transmitting real-time sensor data over the FlexNet radio network to your head-end server and data lake.

Sensus FlexNet AMI System Architecture
How It Works
The Halogen Interface Module (IM) bridges your water quality sensors to the Sensus FlexNet AMI network. When the Sensus system sends a trigger, the IM responds with the selected parameter — delivering real-time data without additional communication infrastructure.
Halogen MP Sensor
Measures free chlorine or monochloramine, pH, conductivity, and temperature in real time.
Interface Module + Battery
Halogen Interface Module (IM) converts sensor data to four selectable outputs. IP68 battery enclosure provides six months of autonomous power.
Sensus Smart Gateway
The Sensus system sends a trigger to the IM, which responds with the selected water quality parameter. Supports two Smart Gateways per Interface Module.
FlexNet AMI Network
Data transmits over the existing Sensus FlexNet radio network to the base station — no additional cellular or Wi-Fi infrastructure needed.
Head-End Server & Data Lake
Water quality readings arrive at the Sensus head-end server and flow into the utility's data lake alongside meter reads for unified analytics.
Sensors for Every Sensus Application
Multiple sensor configurations connect to the Sensus AMI network — from direct meter-pit installations to full panel-mount systems. Choose the hardware that fits your monitoring point.

Wet-Tap for Sensus OMNI Meter
Purpose-built multiparameter wet-tap sensor (D-H1WT-P-L2) installs directly into a Sensus OMNI+ C2 compound water meter via a 2" MIP corp stop valve. Measures chlorine, pH, conductivity, and temperature at the meter pit — no additional plumbing required.

4-20 mA SmartBox Interface
Bluetooth-enabled SmartBox converts Halogen sensor output to a standard 4-20 mA signal for direct connection to a Sensus Smart Gateway. Ideal for retrofitting existing AMI infrastructure with continuous water quality data.

Wall-Mount with D20 Controller
Full panel-mount system with D20 controller, sensor, and junction box. Provides local display, 4-20 mA outputs, relay contacts, and MODBUS communication alongside the Sensus AMI data path.

Immersion Sensor
Suspended directly into open tanks, reservoirs, or clearwells. Stainless steel housing with integrated cable connects to the Interface Module for AMI transmission of water quality data from storage assets.
Built for AMI Networks
Two Smart Gateways
Each Interface Module supports two Sensus Smart Gateways, enabling dual-parameter transmission or redundant data paths.
Four Selectable Outputs
Choose which parameters to transmit — free chlorine, monochloramine, pH, conductivity, or temperature — configurable in the field.
Battery-Powered (6 Months)
IP68-rated battery enclosure provides six months of autonomous operation. Ideal for meter pits and underground vaults without AC power.
Bluetooth Configuration
Configure sensor settings, view real-time readings, and run diagnostics from the Halogen mobile app on iOS or Android.
NSF 61 Certified
All sensor configurations are certified for direct drinking water contact — no waivers or exemptions needed.
SensiCLENE Self-Cleaning
Patented polymer bead system continuously scrubs electrodes, preventing bio-fouling for months of maintenance-free operation.
Configure with the Halogen App
The Halogen mobile app connects via Bluetooth to any sensor for configuration, real-time readings, and diagnostics. Set output parameters, adjust alarm thresholds, view measurement history, and run calibration checks — all from your phone.
Once connected to the Sensus FlexNet network, water quality data appears alongside meter reads in your existing utility data platform. No separate dashboards or logins required.
